OUR STORY

Today, Pétro Ivoire is Côte d’Ivoire’s 3rd petroleum product and by-product distributor and continues its upward growth trend since inception in 1994.

The Founder, Mathieu Kadio-Morokro, a Chemical Engineer by training, partnered in this adventure with petroleum sector professionals to establish Pétro Ivoire.
He began this beautiful story after spending over 20 years in SHELL Group at various strategic positions, including as Marketing Director, Managing Director of Société Ivoirienne de fabrication de Lubrifiants, and Director of Operations.
In this adventure, the Late Mr. Vincent Kacou Marceau and Mr. Famian Morrisson supported the founder’s project and partnered with him on a common goal to quickly pre-empt market shares in a sector where majors had been dominating until then.
The company was established with share capital of CFA 104 million.
The first Pétro Ivoire service facility opened in August 1994 at Treichville, Avenue 21, opposite Belleville market. It still proudly bears its past appearance particularity amid new designs.
