Save fuel by following our advices and tips for reducing fuel consumption.
Turn off your engine
Do not let your engine idle. If you are caught up in traffic jams, turn it off.
Tyre pressure
Remember to do regular tyre pressure checks at our Pétro Ivoire stations. Under-inflated tires can increase your consumption by about 4{b8703104c42a761adebb8ac56da3740857913c6c3bc7f82174376420cf2bb15f}.
Avoid overloading
Do not overload your vehicle. Remove any unnecessary things from the seats and trunk. Extra load causes the engine to work more and increases your fuel consumption.
Air-conditioning
Air-conditioning can also increase consumption by up to 0.5 litres per cent. Remember to turn it off regularly and open the windows instead.
Wheel alignment
Your front tires must be properly aligned. Unaligned wheels generate surplus energy consumption.
Driving style
Drive smoothly and at a reasonable speed: driving at high speed consumes more fuel than driving slowly.
Vehicle maintenance
Poor maintenance does not allow a vehicle to function optimally. It reduces the vehicle’s efficiency and increases its consumption.
