In the light of its sensitive sector of activity, Petro Ivoire in 2012 adopted a Security, Safety, Health and Environment policy called 3SE. The 3SE policy allows PI to carry out activities according to the security standards governing the oil Sector.
To make sure its staff partake in and take ownership of 3SE, the company organises a theme-based event on 3SE for a day each year.
The theme this year was Management, Leadership and Risks
The 3SE day was in two phases. The first phase was a conference on stress management, moderated by an occupational physician.
The second was more joyful, and included a team building exercise on Saturday, 1st April 2017 by the lagoon near Kofa Koa village.
The goal of the 3SE was to:
- Raise the employees’ awareness of psychosocial risks, foster trust, team cohesion and collective performance;
- Develop a sense of initiative and team communication;
- Discover and own tools and solutions for managing stress and preventing psychosocial risks to improve individual and collective effectiveness.
After a very rewarding day of hiking in Mother Nature, the team was more united and committed to meeting all the challenges tied to 3SE.
